During their canonical visitation to the Metropolitanate of Australia and New Zealand, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej and His Eminence Metropolitan of Montenegro Amfilohije, escorted by Very Reverend protopresbyter-stavrofor Fr. Stojadin Pavlovic, director of the Patriarchal head office, in spite of having a very exhausting schedule managed to find time and strength to pay a short visit to St George Historic Cathedral in Cabramatta.

On Friday 11 March 2016, after visiting the building site of St Sava College at Varoville and before the Patronal feast of SOYA at Blacktown, these three very esteemed guests were greeted at Cabramatta by our priests protopresbyter-stavrofor Djuro Djurdjevic and presbyter Nemanja Mrdjenovic, as well as the president and vice president of our Church board Mr. Rajko Ignjatic and Mr. Mile Tanaskovic, and a few of our parishioners who live around the Church and who answered the calling of the Church bells.

After signing of the Gospel, His Holiness also visited an oak tree he planted in front of the Church back in 2004 when he was the Bishop of Nish and a member of the delegation escorting his predecessor on Saint Sava's throne, of blessed memory Patriarch Pavle. The Patriarch presented small gifts to our priests; and our Church congregation, through its president Mr Ignjatic, presented His Holiness with a symbolical donation.
